Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is situated on a high hill with a view of the city. It is considered one of the most sacred temples in northern Thailand and is believed to have been founded by Kruba Srivichai. In the past, the path to the temple was quite narrow and steep. This temple is a beautiful example of northern Thai architecture. It is a 306-step climb up a staircase surrounded by nagas (mythical sea serpents) which are used by tourists and Thais as a place of worship for people in general.

Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan (Northern Thai: ) is a royal temple in Chiang Mai. It has many names including Ratchakutakhan, Wat Chotikaram. In the reign of Phraya Saen Mueang not long ago, King Rama VII, the Mangrai Dynasty, it has not been seen for a long time. B.E. 2471 - B.E. 2488 and has been renovated in many eras. For the solid chedi, 60 meters on each side is another important chedi of Chiang Mai Province. Currently, only half of the work of the major system in the reign of Mahadevi Chiraprabha, the 15th King of the Mangrai Dynasty is left. In the part that the chedi can be up to 80 meters high, it is the last chedi in the north of the said emperor.
