- Elephant Sanctuary
Discover our Ethical Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Here, we care for elephants in a kind and eco-friendly way. In the beautiful area near Chiang Mai, you’ll find our Ethical Elephant Sanctuary. This special place is all about taking good care of elephants. We don’t believe in making them do things like elephant rides. Instead, we make sure they’re happy and healthy, just like members of our own family.
- Phra That Mae Yen
An ancient temple that has been a part of Pai for a long time. It is not clear when it was built. Inside the temple, there are important buildings such as the chapel, which is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and a Burmese bell-shaped pagoda located behind the chapel. You can see the entire Pai city view. Other sacred objects include the reclining Buddha and Phra Phuttha Lokuttara Mahamuni, a large white Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude that can be seen from far away. Wat Phra That Mae Yen is located at Ban Mae Yen, Mae Hee Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, approximately 2 km from Pai District, just 100 meters past the entrance to Mae Yen Waterfall. Drive up the hill a bit and you will reach the parking lot of Wat Phra That Mae Yen, which is located in the middle. You can choose to walk to pay homage to any sacred object first. However, we recommend walking to the chapel first. The chapel of the temple is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and the bell-shaped pagoda in Burmese style located behind the chapel is Phra That Mae Yen.
