  • Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is situated on a high hill with a view of the city. It is considered one of the most sacred temples in northern Thailand and is believed to have been founded by Kruba Srivichai. In the past, the path to the temple was quite narrow and steep. This temple is a beautiful example of northern Thai architecture. It is a 306-step climb up a staircase surrounded by nagas (mythical sea serpents) which are used by tourists and Thais as a place of worship for people in general.

  • Wat Pha Lat

Set amidst lush green hills, away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai's city streets, Wat Pla Thikan is unlike any other community temple in the city as it is a place where monks come to seek peace and meditation. With its ancient stone buildings, intricate carvings and sculptures, and many beautiful meditation spaces, it is easy to see why people call Wat Pla Thikan a hidden gem in Chiang Mai. Every traveler should visit and discover the truth.

  • Wat Chet Yot

This temple was once the site of the 8th world Buddhist recitation, and the Sri Maha Bodhi Buddha Gaya pagoda is considered the sacred relic of the year of birth of the Snake according to the beliefs of the Lanna people. This temple was built by King Tilokarat, the King of the Mangrai Dynasty of Lanna in 1998 and invited Phra Uttamapanya Mahathera to be the first abbot. Along with planting the Bodhi tree, he named this temple “Photharam Mahawihan”. However, because the temple has seven chedis on top, people generally call it “Wat Chet Yot”. The temple itself is made of laterite decorated with stucco patterns, similar to the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India. The base of the chedi is decorated with stucco figures of deities all around, both sitting cross-legged and standing in different patterns. In addition, this temple was once the site of the 8th world Tripitaka recitation, and the Mahabodhi Buddha Gaya pagoda is considered the sacred relic of the year of birth of the Snake according to the beliefs of the Lanna people until now.

  • Handicraft factory San Kamphaeng

San Kamphaeng is a charming village located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Nestled amidst lush greenery and serene landscapes, this village is known for its traditional handicrafts and cultural heritage. The village became renowned for its skilled artisans. The villagers, known for their expertise in pottery, silk weaving, and wood carving, have passed down their craft from generation to generation. This has made San Kamphaeng a hub for traditional Thai craftsmanship. Nearby, there are also many handmade factories such as jewelry, silverware, Thai silk, leather goods.

  •   Wachirathan Waterfall

Wachirathan Waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Doi Inthanon National Park. The waterfall cascades down a cliff approximately 70–80 meters high, creating a refreshing mist and a cool, pleasant atmosphere.

  •   Pha Chor Canyon

Pha Chor is a unique natural attraction known for its dramatic cliffs and unusual earth pillars. These formations were created by natural erosion over time, resulting in towering walls and pillars with distinctive shapes unlike other places in Chiang Mai.

  •   Elephant Sanctuary

One of the experiences many visitors do not want to miss in Chiang Mai is spending time up close with elephants at a sanctuary.

Feed the elephants, learn about elephant care, walk with the elephants in their natural surroundings, or prepare food for them.

  •   Wat Phra That Doi Kham

Wat Phra That Doi Kham is one of Chiang Mai's historic temples, with a history dating back more than 1,300 years. Located on a hill, it is both an important religious site and a scenic viewpoint overlooking Chiang Mai.
