Activities & Itinerary
Day 1: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple + Sticky Waterfall + Other Acitivities
- Get picked up from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai 08.00 am. and
drive up the curvy mountain roads to Doi Suthep - Pui National Park. You will visit the
most important temple here. Walk up 306 steps (or, if you prefer an easier method,
take a funicular ride) to the temple, which sits at 1100 meters above sea level.
- The famous golden pagoda is stunning and the temple contains the relic of the Lord
Buddha. Here, you'll also have the chance to get a holy blessing from a Buddhist
monk and participate in a wrist tiding ceremony. From the balcony, enjoy a
panoramic view of Chiang Mai.
- Next, you'll continue to Bua Tong waterfalls. Swim around the clear water or climb
the "sticky" limestone and enjoy the gorgeous natural scenery. On the way back to
Chiang Mai city, you can also stop at an orchid farm.
- A time to leave the Waterfall, drive back to Chiang Mai city, 05:00 pm. Arrive at the
hotel and end of our wonderful tour.
Day 2: Doi Inthanon National Park + Water Falls + Soft Trekking
- Morning! Pick up from accommodation 8.00 am.Drive about 1.30 hours southwards
of Chiangmai city to Doilntanon National park which is the highest peak of Thailand
(2,565 meters above sea level).
- First we will stop at The most beautiful Vachiratharn waterfall it is the most
impressive one and the fall produce plenty of mist which enough for refreshing.
- Meet our Tribesmen guide at the Trekking point. The local Karen tribe will be your
tour guide during your hike, walk through a beautiful jungle where you will spot
exotic local birds, butterfly, rice field, coffee plantation (depends on the season), and
a waterfall. hiking for about 2 hours, Arrived the tribesmen guide's village,
experience their culture and sample mountain coffee drinks. Lunch will be served at
the local restaurant.
- This afternoon after lunch, driving up for half an hour to the summit of mountain,
the summit is surprisingly flat though misty, cool and breezy. Walk shortly to see a
small Stupa contains the remains of Chao Inthawichayanon the last independent
ruler of Chiang Mai who died in 1897 after Lanna Kingdom was combined to be a part
of Siam. Enjoy exploring around Ang- Kha Nature Trail at the highest peak, viewing
beautiful Fern & Moss as well as White & Red Rhododendrons (bloom only during Jan
- Feb). Night time temperatures on the peak can be as low as -8 degrees celsius. In
the cold/dry season night time, frosts are common. Day time temperatures can be
surprisingly cold, so do not forget a long sleeve jumper.
- Continue to the twin pagodas built by the Thai air force in honor of their Majesties
King and Queen pagodas for their 60th Birthday Anniversaries. Also take a look at the
beautiful Royal flower garden around the site.
- A stop will be made at the local market on the way down the mountain before
making our way back to Chiang Mai.
- 05:30pm Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai or tranfer to airport and end of
wonderful tour.
Day 3: Hot Spring + White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) + Opium House Museum +
Golden Triangle
- Depart from your hotel at 07.00 am and drive to the North- East of Chiang Mai to
Chiang Rai (approx.190 kms)
- First stop will be made at Mae Kajan hotspring where you can soak your feet in
mineral hot water and good spot to have a morning cup of coffee, then continue
driving to Chiang Rai,
- Meet at the Rong Khun Temple, the vision of famous local artist of Thailand. which
features all-white building materials and great attention to intricate details. Proceed
to the Golden Triangle, after that continue driving to Chiang Saen city (approx.
70kms).
- Lunch will be served at a famous restaurant near the river where you can admire
the great view of Golden Triangle.
- After lunch, Visit the culturally significant spot named Golden Triangle, the border
of Thailand, Burma, and Laos, and admire the picturesque riverside. Marvel at the
giant golden Buddha right at the center. Drop by the Opium Museum for that was
once infamously known of Asia's two main opium-producing areas.
- 16.00 pm. A time to leave the Chiang Rai, driving for return back to Chiang Mai city,
20.30 pm. Arrive at the hotel and end of our wonderful tour.
