  • Long Neck Karen

Long-necked Karen are not Thai people. They are all from the Hmong and Burmese tribes, tribes that live in the high mountains. They are called Long-necked Karen because the women in this tribe wear brass rings around their necks. It is a long-held tradition. Long-necked Karen are not Thai people. Long-necked Karen are Burmese tribes and are not like ordinary people.

  • Pai World War 2 Memorial Bridge

A historical site during World War II built by Japanese soldiers, which is now a tourist attraction and is considered another landmark of Pai that should not be missed. The dark green steel bridge across the Pai River is like the gateway to Pai District, connecting the road from Chiang Mai to Pai and Mae Hong Son.

  • Wat Phra That Mae Yen

An ancient temple that has been a part of Pai for a long time. It is not clear when it was built. Inside the temple, there are important buildings such as the chapel, which is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and a Burmese bell-shaped pagoda located behind the chapel. You can see the entire Pai city view. Other sacred objects include the reclining Buddha and Phra Phuttha Lokuttara Mahamuni, a large white Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude that can be seen from far away. Wat Phra That Mae Yen is located at Ban Mae Yen, Mae Hee Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, approximately 2 km from Pai District, just 100 meters past the entrance to Mae Yen Waterfall. Drive up the hill a bit and you will reach the parking lot of Wat Phra That Mae Yen, which is located in the middle. You can choose to walk to pay homage to any sacred object first. However, we recommend walking to the chapel first. The chapel of the temple is a combination of Lanna and Burmese art styles, and the bell-shaped pagoda in Burmese style located behind the chapel is Phra That Mae Yen.

  • Canyon Pai

small town in a valley that we know well, Pai in Mae Hong Son Province, is considered to have many beautiful natural tourist attractions, including national parks, rivers, waterfalls, hot springs, or even beautiful places like Kong Lan or the place that is nicknamed Pai Canyon. This makes green tourists who love nature visit continuously. Kong Lan or Pai Canyon is a naturally occurring tourist attraction. It was formed from the subsidence of the land on this high mountain and was eroded into deep grooves that look like cliffs, connected over a wide area, resulting in the creation of Pai Canyon. The shape of the cliff looks like Pae Mueang Phi in Phrae Province. It is also a beautiful viewpoint of Pai.

  • Santichon Village

Santichon Village is indeed a center where visitors have the chance to experience Chinese culture: the village showcases reproductions of traditional Chinese clay houses, and there are a few tiny shops made of mud and clay selling tea by the bag or by the pot, where they also often run tea-tasting sessions. It is also possible to experience Yunnanese way of life, as well as dressing in a traditional Yunnan dress.

  • Yunlai Viewpoint

Yunlai Sea of Mist Viewpoint is located in Santichon Village, Wiang Tai Subdistrict, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, approximately 1.6 kilometers from Santichon Village. It is a beautiful sea of mist and sunrise viewpoint in Pai District, which is popular among tourists. You can see the sea of mist surrounded by small and large mountains and the view of Pai townhouses covered in mist. The word Yunlai is Mandarin, meaning a place where clouds gather, which is like the Yunnanese people who immigrated from China but eventually migrated and moved together. Yunlai Sea of Mist Viewpoint can be viewed in both the rainy and winter seasons. The viewpoint area has been designed as a viewing terrace and many cute photo spots, including a viewing terrace, a couple's padlock spot, a sign that says "I love you", and a pavilion for tourists to sit and enjoy the morning view. In addition, there is a hot tea service in a kettle for tourists to sip while enjoying the view, priced at 20 baht per set. The entrance fee to the viewpoint is 20 baht per person.
