Inside Wat Chiang Man, there are many important places. It has square and round shapes and is decorated with 16 stucco elephants. The stairs leading up to the pavilion are decorated with Naga handrails. The spire is a golden bell-shaped chedi. • Wat Phra Singh

Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan is a first-class royal temple, Woramahawihan type, located at 2 Samlan Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. It is located within the old city walls. The area is rectangular, covering an area of 25 rai, 2 ngan, and 25 square wa. There are roads surrounding the temple on all 4 sides: Inthawororot Road to the north, Samlan Road to the east, Saen Muang Ma Road to the south, and Inthawororot Road to the west. The temple’s builder.Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan was built in 1888 by Phraya Phayu, the fifth king of Chiang Mai of the Mangrai Dynasty. Phraya Phayu brought the ashes of his father, Phraya Kham Fu, who ruled Chiang Saen, to enshrine in a stupa and built it here. Originally, this temple was called Wat Li Chiang Phra because the area in front of the temple was a trading place for the townspeople, which later became Li Chiang Phra Market and the temple was called “Wat Li Chiang Phra” Later, around 1943, Chao Maha Phrom, the King of Chiang Rai, invited Phra Buddha Sihing or Phra Singh, which was from Kamphaeng Phet, to present to Phraya Saen Mueang Ma, the King of Chiang Mai. Phraya Saen Mueang Ma invited Phra Buddha Sihing or Phra Singh to be enshrined at Wat Li Chiang Phra, so the people called Wat Li Chiang Phra “Wat Phra Singh” since then.

  • Wat Sri Suphan

The Phra Borommathat Wat Sri Suphan, which is over 500 years old, recently collapsed as mentioned above. Before the collapse, this pagoda was originally a brick and mortar pagoda in the Lanna style, made by royal craftsmen. The bell-shaped body is round, and it is placed on an octagonal, inverted lotus base, on a square base with thirty-six recessed corners. In the past, it has been renovated many times. There is also information indicating that this pagoda has been leaning for some time. In addition, in 2004, Wat Sri Suphan built a new chapel to replace the old chapel that was dilapidated. This new chapel is the “world’s first silver chapel” that the craftsmen worked together to build as a Buddhist offering, offering Buddhist art to the land of Lanna and honoring King Rama IX. They used the local wisdom of being a silversmith community to create a beautiful and intricate silver chapel that looks amazing, in order to “dedicate art to the land of Lanna, to dedicate to Buddhism.” “Praise the King Rama IX” The world’s first silver church at Wat Sri Suphan used the construction method from the base and the boundary markers that referenced the principal Buddha image of the original church. It is a Lanna architecture with a brick and mortar structure measuring 5 meters wide, 17.50 meters long, and 18 meters high.

  • Wat Suan Dok

The locals therefore called this temple Wat Suan Dok. The art inside the temple is very beautiful. It is believed to have been influenced by Burma, as Chiang Mai was once a colony of Burma for a period of time. The highlight is the Wat Suan Dok pagoda, which is outstandingly beautiful in the Sri Lankan-Sukhothai style.
