Along with planting the Bodhi tree, he named this temple “Photharam Mahawihan”. However, because the temple has seven chedis on top, people generally call it “Wat Chet Yot”. The temple itself is made of laterite decorated with stucco patterns, similar to the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India. The base of the chedi is decorated with stucco figures of deities all around, both sitting cross-legged and standing in different patterns.
