Highlight

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is situated on a high hill with a view of the city. It is considered one of the most sacred temples in northern Thailand and is believed to have been founded by Kruba Srivichai. In the past, the path to the temple was quite narrow and steep. This temple is a beautiful example of northern Thai architecture. It is a 306-step climb up a staircase surrounded by nagas (mythical sea serpents) which are used by tourists and Thais as a place of worship for people in general.

Hmong market

The Hmong villagers’ agricultural market sells fruits, already packed in bags, and seasonal vegetables. There are also dried goods, fresh goods, and hill tribe handicrafts. This Hmong market has a history that has been passed down from grandparents to the present day and is known throughout the country.
